I know I am extremely biased and Lelach Rave didn’t approve this message. Nobody is asking, but I thought I’d tell you why I voted for her. Sure she is my wife and I think she is absolutely amazing, but hear me out.
It is because she is my wife and I have been married to her for over ...20 years I have seen the best and worst and I can tell you there is way more best.
Other than by me and our kids she doesn’t get stressed or annoyed (I we usually deserve her annoyance).
She is truly the most centered and balanced person I know. I call her humanity 2.0. She is an extraordinary person.
She organizes her world to live authentically by her core values. And she values service above everything.
During the height of the pandemic, she volunteered to work in the COVID clinics. She volunteered to put herself at risk to help families and kids be safe. When a friend or neighbor reaches out with a pediatric question day or middle of the night she will be a calming presence.
She doesn’t judge and dismiss people who hold different views. She listens deeply to them and tries to understand them. Maybe it’s from working with people from all across the socioeconomic spectrum and so many different cultures and perspectives in the clinic for so many years, but she wants people to be heard and feel understood.
On her campaign for the 46th legislative seat, I have watched her work tirelessly regularly until way past midnight. When I asked her what was motivating her because I know it’s not to be politician, she said simply, “I want to create policy that improves lives.”
I have absolutely no doubt it is Lelach’s commitment, dedication and core belief in service that she will bring to Olympia.
